Principal’s Message
Welcome to St Anne’s! We are a unique school and provide a first-class education rooted in our Catholic faith.
This year’s theme “On Fire With the Spirit – Awaken!!” invites us to share and proclaim through word and action the good news that Jesus taught us. We are called to journey with our community, sharing our time and talents to make a difference in the world using the gifts of the Holy Spirit and Awakening within us a renewed sense of these gifts to the best of our ability.
St. Anne’s C.S.S. has always had a good reputation for academic excellence, our Catholic faith, meaningful collaboration, solid work ethic, and a willingness to accept all others. Since 1995, the school community has provided a well-rounded Catholic Secondary education in Huron County. With St. Anne as our Patron, we are blessed to carry on the rich traditions of the Catholic faith community and look after each member of the school family including those who have come before us and those who will follow in our footsteps. St Anne has a very special place in the hearts and minds of the Holy Family, the Church and indeed all of us who strive to live life as Anne did – one filled with love, faith, hope, and service. Our Patron Saint provides a role model for staff and students alike. These characteristics are something we strive to model in our actions and our words, every day.
At St. Anne’s C.S.S. we refer to ourselves as “The Eagles”. These words are based on the scriptural passage by the Prophet Isaiah (Chapter 40: verse 31); providing an image of one being lifted up on the wings of an Eagle or Angel.
Yet those who wait for the Lord
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary.
The tremendous team of staff members at St. Anne’s C.S.S. truly care about each and every student. Frequently, the staff & students of the school receive compliments and gratitude for the many ways in which our school community reaches out to help and support students, families and communities that we live in or within.
St. Anne’s is an incredibly special place and when you walk into the doors of the school, you feel something special about the building and the people within its walls. I am honoured to serve as the principal of this fine school and look forward to walking alongside all in the school community this year.
